DT Swiss ERC 1400 Spline 47 Carbon Endurance Road Disc Wheels
DT Swiss ERC 1400 Spline 47 Carbon Disc Brake Endurance Road Wheelset
Ideal for endurance road riding, gravel and cyclo cross. These wheels feature DT's legendary star ratchet 240s hub design which in our opinion put them ahead of the main competition in this field such as Mavic and Hunt Wheels.
Their benchmark setting AERO+ rim matched to a punchy mix of top end Aerolite and Aero Comp laced to premium Ratchet System hubs makes for a wheel that delivers in all riding situations. Fitting 28 mm tires on its wide rims will give you all the comfort and grip needed for extended rides on mixed surfaces. At the same time, in combination with 25 mm rubber, the ERC 1400 SPLINE 47 will aero optimize your race bike, ready for you to set your own, new benchmarks.
The bleeding-edge rim design of the ERC 1100's but without the super premium DICUT ceramic bearing hub and spoke system, bringing the price down to a more attainable level and adding a 15 mm front axle option.
The ERC rims were designed from scratch in conjunction with former F1 head of engineering JP Ballard and his team at the GST wind tunnel in Immenstaad, Germany
Using a bespoke fluid dynamic analysis system that for the first time allowed the designers to model and quantify the effect of crosswinds on a wheel's handling a rim profile was developed that gives an optimal balance between aerodynamics and handling.
This is why the ERC rim is precisely 47 mm deep and 27 mm wide, any wider and you'd see an unacceptable increase in drag, any deeper and you'd compromise handling in rough conditions, we call this concept Aero+ and the result is a blindingly fast yet truly all conditions wheel.
DT's renowned 240 hub internals are combined with a freshly optimised SPLINE hub-shell designed to improve spoke bracing and improve stiffness, an upgraded 36-tooth ratchet ensures lightning fast engagement
A carefully chosen blend of Aerolite and Aerocomp straight pull spokes offer a great blend of strength, speed and comfort19 mm internal rim profile is optimised for 25-28 c tyres
For those looking to use the latest tyre tech the ERC 1400's come tubeless ready but can also be used with standard clinchers.
The front wheel comes ready for 12 x 100 mm thru axles with adaptors for 15 x 100, the rear comes ready for 12 x 142 mm thru axles, both come with Q/R converters.

QUESTIONS & ANSWERSAsk a Question
Hello, Please could you tell me what the main difference is between the DT Swiss ERC 1400 Spline 47 Carbon Endurance Road Disc Wheels and the DT Swiss ERC 1100 DICUT Endurance Road Disc Wheels
Hi there, thanks for your message and thanks for looking at our website. The main differences with the wheels are the hubs. The ERC 1100 uses their top of the range hub with aero profiling but the real cost difference is inside the hub. The ERC 1100 is supplied as standard with ceramic bearings. They also include wheel bags and Milkit kit.
The ERC 1400s are on order but won’t be back instock until early September.
Hi, Would you be prepared to match Merlin's price of £1,099 for this wheelset? They're out of stock at the moment with a 4 week wait. Just thought I'd ask. Cheers Tom
Good evening, thanks for your message. Unfortunately I can't offer a price match, the DT Wheels are priced on our website competitively but I'm afraid £1099 is less than I pay for them. I do however have these instock for immediate dispatch.
