UCI Road World Championship Jersey Knitting Pattern

In 2019 the UCI Road World Championships are coming to Yorkshire. To celebrate Moonglu are leading the way and we're looking to decorate Ripon in mini knitted rainbow jerseys.

After the success of the 2018 Armistice Poppy decorations around Ripon the team behind the epic knitting are looking for more work and they have already started knitting in preparation for next September.

Needle Size 8/4mm

 

Cast on 26 stitches in white

Row 1 Knit

Row 2 Knit

Row 3 Purl

Stocking stitch 19 rows

Work 3 rows in Green

Work 3 rows in Yellow

Work 3 Rows in Black

Work 3 Rows in Red

Work 3 Rows in Blue

Work 2 rows in White

Next row Knit to last stitch then cast on 6 stitches (32)

Knit 1 purl to last stitch then cast on 6 stitches (38)

Repeat rows 2 and 3 (4 times)

Knit 1 row

Knit 15 P8

Turn K8

Turn P8

Turn K8

Turn K8

Turn K8

Turn P8

Turn K8

Turn P8 then K15 to end of row

Knit 1 row

K1 purl to last stitch K1

Repeat last 2 rows 4 times

Cast off 6 at the beginning of the next two rows

Work 2 rows in White

Work 3 rows in Blue

Work 3 rows in Red

Work 3 rows in Black

Work 3 rows in Yellow
