All Moonglu wheels are hand built in house by owner Neil Dunkley. What started as a desire to build a set of wheels for a personal bike became a passion and solid part of our business. We now handbuild all our road and mountain bike wheels.
As the bike market continues to expand our range of wheels constantly grows. We now regularly build both 26” and 29” aftermarket wheels and as mountain bikes will evolve back into 650b (27.5”) we will also build these.
We have built our wheel building business and growing reputation on Hope Pro 2 Evo hub equipped mountain bike wheels. The Pro 2 Evo is manufactured in the UK by Barnoldswick based Hope Technology. The hub is reliable, versatile, cost effective, available in 6 anodized colours and provides a great upgrade from the stock wheels that most bikes are equipped with.

We are currently expanding our hub range to include the recently introduced DT Swiss 350 series hubs. Redesigned to include DT’s patented star ratchet freehub engagement, the 350 hubs provide a genuine alternative to the Hope Pro 2 Evo. We have started to build the 350 series hubs onto the following rims:
