2008 is a year of change for the Moonglu Team. Jody has left the business and the team for pastures new and now our downhill racer Ben Moorhouse has been signed up by the bigger
Descent World/Ticket2Ride Team. We wish them both all the best in their respective ventures.
With the increased responsibility of sole ownership comes the increased responsibility of maintaining our successfull team and now owner Neil Dunkley must step up to the mark.
To continue a Jody tradition, Neil has entered the annual Giant Mountain Mayhem event in the solo catagory, can he manage to go 24 hours without sleep??
Neil will continue to be backed up by long time team riders Mike Harper and Nic Smith, however, both their circumstances have changed. Nic is now in New Zealand on a years break from work
with girlfriend Lindsay. Despite being half the way round the world, Nic continues to fly the Moonglu flag and has already competed in a number of cross country races around New Zealand. You can follow
his experiences racing against the best in the southern hemisphere by reading his blog on the British Cycling website.
Circumstances have changed for Mike also having smashed his lower leg and ankle in a biking accident in Whistler last summer. Rehabilitation has been both painstaking and frustrating in equal measures,
but he's now back on the bike doing some light rides. Everyone at Moonglu wish him all the best and look forward to the day when he's ready to compete for us again.
With Jody and Ben leaving the team it has left a void that needs to be filled. If you fancy pulling on the Moonglu shirt to do some races contact us by visiting us at the shop or emailing Neil. It's fairly light
hearted, no pressure riding, so don't feel like you need a palimares of race results like Lance Armstrong to race for us.
