Cycling at all levels is becoming increasingly popular with ladies, however, the cycle industry as a whole is only just starting to cater for their growing needs. Cycling has been dominated by males for many years, and bikes have been designed very much around the male anatomy, women unfortunately have had to put up with this. The big cycle manufacturers are starting to realise that ladies need specialist equipment and are looking at frame designs and contact areas to try and improve their female ranges.

As with gents bikes, not everyone has the same needs, maybe the odd leisure ride in the summer with a partner or friend, maybe to escape the rat race, to chill out and get some fresh air or maybe you compete and want the right tool for the job

Although we don't keep a huge range of ladies specific bikes in stock, we do having a growing range of ladies bikes from Marin, Kona and Giant that is available to us very quickly. We generally keep instock, entry level mountain and leisure bikes from Giant such as the Boulder, Rincon and CRS 4.0. We also keep instock the Marin Bear Valley and Kona Lisa HT , both finished in very different shades of pink, but both lovely looking bikes.

If you take the sport seriously and want to spend more, then Marin offer the Alpine Trail ladies specific full suspension bike with the new Quad-Link II suspension system, ideal for competitive Polaris type riders. Giant also supply their Maestro suspension equipped Trance and Anthem bikes with a ladies fit. Finally, if you're after a superfast race hardtail mountain bike, then Kona produce the Kula Lisa, an Easton tubing equipped thoroughbred hardtail.

If you're looking to improve your fitness fast, then a road bike is one of the best ways out there. We can offer a range of road bikes either flat bar or full on race drop handlebar. Giant offer fantastically equipped road bikes from as little as £450 for the SCR3.0 ladies, right up to £1800 for a carbon frame TCR Composite W. Kona also produce a small range of ladies road bikes including the Lisa Rd and Lisa Rd Supreme.

Looking good whilst riding is almost as and if not more important than the bike. Again, as a small retailer, we keep in a limited but functional line of ladies specific clothing and accessories including Giro Helmets, Altura clothing and gloves, Shimano shoes and Demarchi cycling garments.
