Now considered the final string to our custom build bow, we can now offer Intense frames either as a frame only, or as a dream bike Moonglu custom build. Not just another manufacturer in the suspension bike minefield, Intense own the joint patent rights, with Santa Cruz Cycles of the Virtual Pivot Point(VPP) design.

Although many manufacturers have tried to mimic the suspension action of VPP bikes, the patent forbids them from replicating it fully. Without being over complicated, the design allows the rear axle path to change during the suspension travel, giving a very plush but efficient ride, with the first portion of the stroke giving a noticeable "up and over" movement. This allows a very fluid motion over rear wheel obstacles.

The Intense mountain bike range has come along way since the 1991 Spyder FS and now includes 10 different frame models. All frames are constructed from custom Easton tubing and machined inhouse by Intense Cycles.

The 4" travel offering is the Spider, with three variants available, the FRO (For Racing Only), the XVP and 29inch wheel versions. The FRO is a stripped down race only 4.7Ibs frame with race tuned geometry, the XVP is built slightly tougher and slacker and the 29er is the devils work.

Similarly the 5.5 (5.5 being the rear travel) has two variants, the FRO and EVP. This time the geometry is the same, but the EVP is built sturdier as a trail bike with gussets, the FRO is half a pound lighter and is ideal for marathon racing.

The 6.6 (6.6 again being rear travel) is only available as one frame option, but is probably the most versatile bike, light enough for XC (7.25Ibs frame) but aggressive enough for freeride.

The Uzzi VPX is close to the ultimate freeride rig, tough, but light. This comes as standard with 1.5" headtube, Max Type sealed bearings and a one piece top shock link and is front mech compatible.

The M3 needs very little introduction. Raced around the world but not always badged as an M3, 9.5" travel, enough to tackle any downhill anywhere in the world.

The Socom is the newest offering from Intense. 8" travel but weighing in at only 8Ibs for the frame, this is a great downhill or freeride machine and may well be our most popular Intense frame.

Our bike is a stock medium 5.5EVP in "works finish" and we've decked it out with Rock Shox Pike forks, Hope Hoops, XT running gear and brakes and Thomson stem and seatpost.
