Moonglu are an approved partner with both Cyclescheme and Bike2Work Scheme to provide tax free bikes under the Government led Cycle to Work Scheme. This scheme is open to the employees of any UK based company large or small, to encourage staff to cycle to work as part of a Green Transport Plan. The process for applying for a bike under the scheme is simple:
- Employer signs up with Cyclescheme / Bike2Work Scheme
- Employee visits Moonglu to discuss bike and accessories options
- Moonglu provide a written quotation for the bike and accessories up to a value of £1000
- Employee submits the quotation to the employer. This is signed off by the employer and forwarded to either Cyclescheme or Bike2Work Scheme
- Cyclescheme / Bike2Work Scheme send a voucher to the employee’s home
- Voucher is posted directly to employee’s home
- Employee redeems voucher at the Moonglu for the quoted bike and/or accessories
Additional points that may be useful:
- This scheme is open to UK residents in employment only, it is not available to residents registered as ‘self employed’
- The maximum allowance under the Cycle to Work Scheme is £1000
- The percentage off the retail value may vary, 45% is a maximum and is determined by the tax band of the individual
- Moonglu operate some restrictions on the scheme. Previously discounted bikes are not eligible under the scheme and we will not negotiate on price under the terms of the scheme. All bikes and accessories sold under the scheme will be at full UK RRP
