The very first thing you'll notice with the 2007 Giant bike range is the styling, the bikes are simply stunning. In the past, Giant have been the big brand with awesome value bikes, but were always let down by colour choice and attention to those details that really made a difference when buying a bike. We opened our new catalogue and were blow away by not just the colour and styling but also the specs.

Giant have really listened to the end users out there, you guys that are buying the bikes and specced the bikes like you wouldn't believe. Gone are the clonky Manitou forks of 2005 and 2006, replaced across the board by Rock Shox and Fox Forks. Where possible, the Hayes brakes have disappeared, replaced by Shimano and Avid. Across the board, from the XTC to the Anthem, the SCR aluminium to the TCR Advanced, these bikes are stunning.

The Maestro suspension platform unveiled in 2005 has proved to be a massive success. The Anthem, the Trance and the Reign remain unchanged in terms of set-up apart from the introduction of a carbon framed version of both the Anthem and Trance. Reign has a big brother, the Reign X, with 6.7in travel and a plusher, coil shock. Faith has departed the range, replaced by a Freeride version of the Glory. The Glory, entered the Maestro family in 2006 and surprised Giant by selling out straight away on the back of some rave reviews from the Downhill fraternity. It is back for 2007 bigger and better and with greater stock availability. The Maestro range is now complete, offering bikes that pedal superbly on all terrains, and bikes for every end user from cross country, weight conscious whippet to World Cup level wannabe downhiller.

The Giant Road Bikes are equally stunning and now offer the biggest range ever. The Pro Tour Spec TCR advanced now has a family of bikes, with varying specs including a very upgradeable bike at £3000 which has the same T-800 carbon frame as the Tour bike. Apart from the styling, the TCR range remains largely unchanged except the introduction of TCR Alliance, a carbon/aluminium hybrid frame unlike any other currently on the market. A lower aluminium frame (headtube, downtube, bottom bracket and chainstay) and an upper composite frame (toptube and seatstays) combined with a hybrid seattube creating a stiff but comfortable ride.
