When you are looking to spend a considerable sum of money on the bike of your dreams, it's always best to try various brands and models just to confirm that the bike you are dreaming of is the right one for you. At Moonglu we stock a range of demo bikes of varying styles to give you an idea what's on offer and what does or doesn't feel right.

All our demo bikes are available for immediate test ride, have been regularly maintained in our workshop and can be taken out for a day or a weekend for a refundable £25 deposit.

Our demo fleet is changing again to reflect the ever changing face of the bike industry. Our Nicolai Helius FR has been sold, as well as our Whyte E5 and Marin Mount Vision.

From Kona we have a 17" Dawg Supreme and maybe on day the all new CoilAir Supreme, complete with the "Magic Link". We've not tried it yet, no-one has, but the promise is good. We'll have a demo CoilAir Supreme in spring 2008. The Dawg has been around for a long time now, always with 5 inch of travel, always slightly beefier and heavier than the competition. This has changed for 2008, the frame is now full Scandium, once used only in the Kona Race frames, and now with 140mm travel to match the Fox 140mm forks. And what a difference it has made, a truly delightful trail bike, that handles better than most bikes we've ridden, perhaps it's time to step away from the fancy suspension design and try the old faithful Dawg again.

Giant have also been busy this year. Now they have launched the Trance X into the fabled but far too often overlooked Maestro range. A true 5 inch travel bike with a frame weight less than the old 4 inch travel Trance frame. We are doing it alittle bit different with our Trance X, and will be building a custom demo bike, rather than the stock spec bike. Our Trance X has just rolled off the custom build production line and will be trail tested on the Oct 14th Monthly Ride and will be available for demo very soon after.

To complete our demo bike range for 2008 we will be putting together another Nicolai Helius FR uber bike. The new 2008 spec frame complete with "Extra Love" is just on the road, pictures will follow but it does look amazing in the flesh.
