Titanium has long been thought of as the ultimate bike frame material, and with good reason. Used for many years only for military use due to price, availability and lack of working experience, the last 15 years has seen the material become more widely available and cheaper. The engineers that formed Litespeed/Merlin were some of the very first to begin working with it in the cycle trade. Over the last 15 years the engineering team, many who have been at the company from the start have gained a huge experience in titanium manipulation.

They are now at a stage well in advance of other titanium manufacturers. With experience, it has become relatively easy to weld together straight gauge titanium tubes to produce alot of the frames on the market today, On-One, Charge, to name but a few, but it isn't so easy to shape the tubes to increase stiffness, strength and fatigue life. Litespeed have evolved their tube design over the years to a point now, where they can build a frame to specific riders choice, weight and ride characteristics.

We have chosen Litespeed as another string to the Custom Build bow. Very different from our other frame brands, the can offer a range of stock road and mountain bike frames, and the full custom experience, for the ultimate frame of a lifetime. Our main mountain bike frame will be the Obed, taking it's lead from the legendary Cove Hummer (made for Cove by Litespeed), the Obed is a trail hardtail, with singlespeed options, more mud clearance and Litespeed custom tubeset.

Their road frames also fit in well with our philosophy, similar geometry to the Moonglu loved Giant TCR, Neil has just invested in a Dura Ace equipped Siena and can't speak highly enough of it, the perfect ride. Jody will soon take delivery of the all new Archon, the most advanced titanium frame on the planet, using a mix of tubular and sheet titanium to produce a ride similar to that of a carbon road frame.

Road frames are best purchased as bikes to get the best financial deal. Build kits are available with Dura-Ace, Ultegra and 105 and all come with Easton CNT carbon forks. Mountain bikes are best purchased as a frame only, then going for a Moonglu Custom Build, to get the kit spec of your choice.
