Kona have always made awesome frames, that ride and handle really well. Difficult to describe, we think that the geometry makes them really stable, especially when the riding becomes technical.

Although the Kona range is now massive, they still produce some of their high end bikes as a frame only package. A custom build on a Kona will give you exactly the spec that you want, on the frame that you want, without having to first buy the bike and swap parts around.

The Cowan below is a good example. Although they come prebuilt as a dirt jump specific bike, purchased as a frame only they come with a very similar geometry to the legendary Cove Stiffee, but £50 cheaper and with sliding dropouts. They can be built into a lovely hardcore trail bike and used as a singlespeed in winter.
