Cove Frames

As much as mountain bikers like to see themselves as badass individuals, truth be told, we never ride alone. When we're railing perfect singletrack, we want to scream at somebody. Just as natural as a sketchy log ride or massive gap, we want someone to scream back

Cove have been producing hardcore trail and big boy bikes for the last 25 years. They have pushed the boundaries of frame and component design to the limit, and sometimes beyond. As forks and suspension have evolved, so have the Cove frames.

For 2007 Cove bring you 9 frames, all different, but covering most of the bases in the much expanding mountain bike world, street and dirt jump, right through to downhill, Cove can supply the goods.

Right from our founding, Moonglu have supplied Cove frames, both frame only and as custom builds. The Stiffee FR has always been the one, right from the start, our hardcore trail bike of choice. Most of our early custom builds were done on the Stiffee, then people really started to take notice and browse the other bikes in the catalogue.

Then we started building Handjob custom builds, then G-Spots and Playmates, one customer has had five Cove bikes, so far, he still retains two.

In 2005 Cove tweaked the Hummer, gave it the capability to take 130mm forks and this became the ultimate trail bike to have. Jody bought one straight away, sent it off to What Mountain Bike for testing and it came back with a Gold Award. A truly awesome bike for those who want something alittle bit special.

For 2006 Cove released two new bikes, the Sanchez and the Shocker DH. The Sanchez is Cove's steel dirt jump/street bike, 24" or 26" and singlespeed compatible and at £250 for a Cove, an absolute steal. Calum bought a blue Sanchez straight away, set it up with white Dirt Jumper 1's and white rims and it looks awesome. When he's not riding it, and it's clean we'll get a photo for the custom build page.

The Shocker DH is Cove's new dual link equipped downhill bad boy. 8.75" travel and built to last, this is one of the ultimate downhill frames out there. Everything made by Cove is designed and tested in the home of North Shore, Vancouver, Canada. All these bits of timber, nailed together in your local wood were thought up by the boys at Cove. North Shore riding requires alittle bit more aptitude, both from the rider and the bikes. All Cove's frames are designed with this at the forefront, it's the ride that counts. They're also constructed to withstand some serious drops!!
