Your local bike shop
Moonglu is a local bike shop in Ripon, North Yorkshire. The business started trading in August 2002 on the site of an existing cycle shop in Blossomgate, Ripon. Originally opened as a partnership, the shop is now solely owned by Neil Dunkley.
Moonglu is ideally situated with close proximity to the North York Moors and the Yorkshire Dales. We are an ideal stop off point for spare bike parts on visits to the local mountain bike trail centres at Dalby Forest and Stainburn Forest, as well as touring cyclists and road cyclists passing through the city.
The shop covers most bases in the modern cycling world, from road and mountain bikes, to the needs of commuters, racers and leisure cyclists. Neil and his members of staff are passionate about cycling and can call upon over 25 years combined experience in both the shop and the sport, Neil having raced since the age of 16, both road and off road.

Although cycling has become very diverse over the last decade, we endeavour to stock a range of cycling products to suit the needs of our customer base. We have access to many leading brands however, with the limitations of retail space and the desire to have a pleasant shopping environment, we cannot display or stock every item from every brand. As keen cyclists ourselves, we try to stock items that we have either tried ourselves or know are amongst the best product and best value for money on the market. Poor product inevitably ends up in a bad shopping experience, that’s why we are selective of the brands we sell.
The shop is an Aladdin’s cave of bikes, cycle clothing, bike parts and accessories, stocking bike brands such as Giant, Marin, Wilier and Whyte, cycle clothing brands Altura, Fox Clothing, Oakley Eyewear and Seal Skinz waterproof garments, and parts from Shimano, SRAM, Campagnolo, Thomson, Easton, Ashima and Race Face to name but a few. We stock a comprehensive range of bike accessories from key brands such as Giro helmets, Camelbak hydrations systems, Cateye lights and cycle computers, Maxxis tyres, Panaracer tyres, Fenwicks cleaning products and Torq sports nutrition. We are also an authorised dealer and service centre for Fox Racing Shox, a Magura Passion Point dealer and 1 of 25 Hope Tech Shops in the UK.
